Adele Marie Hiles
Ashland
For over 35 years I have been in love with painting because to me it is a dance: loading paint on the brush, flipping the paint rag over my shoulder, raising the filbert tip up to the reverberating canvas like a fencer raising his foil. En Garde! Beyond the physical dance, the reward of looking has changed me to my core. I paint the light that surrounds objects, defining, enlivening, and making them SING, and everyday, I learn again, to listen!
Judy Hanson Howard
Ashland
Judy has been an artist and educator in southern Oregon sin 1966. For the last 28 years, she has continued to balance her time between painting and promoting other artists at Hanson Howard Gallery in Ashland. She fluctuates between realism and abstraction while exploring various painting mediums. The results are as much a surprise to her as they are to her audience.
Rob Jaffe
Ashland
This is an exciting time to be a photographer. I have been shooting, processing, and printing both black and white and color photographs for over 30 years. I printed all the work you see at this show using the giclee (zhee-clay) process. The prints are incredibly rich in detail and depth, and bring a new level of creativity and subtlety in my work… I am happy to share it with you.

Mary Rollins
Mary attended Dana College, in Blair Nebraska. As an art Major, she also attended the University of Copenhagen; And, graduated Magna cum Laude with a BS in Fine Arts from Southern Oregon University in 1979. Her years of professional training and discipline have given her what she describes now as, “...an appreciation for the impact of strong values and the changing qualities of light.” Today, her subjects include intimate views of rivers, wildlife, and florals of the Pacific Northwest. Her work stands as a personal interpretation of the world; and it has been described in professional art magazines as--Contemporary Naturalism.
Ruth Hickok Schubert
Medford
An impressionist painter, Ruth Schubert sees and uses color by using bold brushstrokes and bright colors to capture design and the effects of light and atmosphere, allowing the imagination of the viewer to soar! This dynamic artist continues to create thoughtful watercolor and acrylic paintings for enjoyment and investment. Subject matters range from seascapes, landscapes, flowers, people, animals, birds and nature in contrast… expression into contemporary design.

Judy Weiner
I paint with oils using a classical realist technique. My focus is on my discovery, acknowledgement and reflection of the spirit, beauty and order I see in our natural world.
